						<title>ESA RN01 Mid-Term Conference 2025. Old Societies, new ageing</title>

								<![CDATA[<p>Facultad de Economía y Empresa</p><p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:medium"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif"><span style="color:#000000"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:400"><span style="white-space:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none">The European Sociological Association&apos;s Research Network 01 (RN01) is pleased to announce the mid-term conference titled <i>"Old Societies, New Ageing"</i>, to be held on the 6th and 7th of November 2025 in Murcia, Spain.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:start"><span style="font-size:medium"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif"><span style="color:#000000"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:400"><span style="white-space:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none">This conference seeks to explore the multifaceted dimensions of ageing in contemporary societies, with a special focus on the interplay between historical societal structures and the evolving experiences of ageing populations. We welcome contributions from scholars across various disciplines who examine ageing from sociological, cultural, political, and policy perspectives, as well as interdisciplinary approaches that expand the understanding of ageing in modern societies.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

	<li style="text-align:justify; margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Ageing in rural and urban contexts</span></span></li>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Registration opens May 1st, with the following fees:</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">ESA members/PhD students/Vulnerable scholars: 100 Euros</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:8px"><font face="Aptos, sans-serif" size="3">No ESA members: 200 Euros</font></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:8px"><font face="Aptos, sans-serif" size="3">Limited number of travel grants will be available for PhD students, up to 350 euros per student, to be reimbursed upon attendance to the Conference. Applicants must use the <a href="https://cursos.um.es/cursos/alumnos.cursos.solicitudbecalogin.do?a=FDB606086652E5D1774EF4CBCCDE63B6&u=&svu=">registration page of the event</a> to apply. Grants will be awarded to the three best presentations among the applicants. The board members of the Research Network on Aging of the ESA will act as juror, </font><meta charset="UTF-8" /><span style="font-size:16px;">reserving the right not to award grants if none of the presentations meets the necessary standards.</span></p>
